Today for Think About It Thursday we mixed primary colors! This is such a fun activity and it's so easy!
All you need is food coloring, water and six cups! (we used glass cups we already had).
First I let Beau put in food coloring in each cup, starting with red.
Then followed by blue, followed by yellow (not pictured).
Then we used his watering pot to fill the cups up. We only used one color per cup so he knew what color the water would turn.
After that, we put two colors of food coloring in the remaining three cups. We put blue and yellow in one cup, blue and red in another, and red and yellow in the third one. Then, before Beau put the water in, I asked him what color the water would turn.
He had to think about this.
We did this until all the colors were mixed. This is a great activity to expose children to their colors, and what kids doesn't like playing with water?!?!
When we were finished, I let him put some food coloring in a cup of milk, for fun.
He chose green, his favorite color!
I hope you can use this activity with your littles!
