It's Fall, Y'all! Ok, I will stop with the cheesy sayings. It is finally starting to get a little chilly in the lone star state, so I thought it was appropriate to share my Fall mantle with y'all! (Did I mention I was from Texas?!?)
Here it is! Don't you just love the letter banner that says "Happy Fall"? I downloaded it for free from DIY Swank. She has the entire alphabet on her site. I might use the same lettering for a Christmas themed banner as well. I printed the letters I wanted on white card stock, then cut them out and clothes pinned them up to jute twine. I hot glued a diamond on each pin for some extra bling!
Don't like this style lettering? The Dating Divas has a ton of Fall printables on their site! Another banner I have on my mantle, which I think might be a little too much, is one of our favorite Fall characters. I found these in a box of old school decorations. I hung it lower so Beau could see it easily. I might move that somewhere else in the house, haven't quite decided.
The last Fall-ish thing in my living room that I want to share is my new coffee table. I know, I know, it's not part of the mantle, but trust, if I could put it up there it would be. I picked this baby up from a garage sale for $30. My previous table was also glass, but in a square shape and like three times the size of this one. I wanted something smaller and my dreams have come true. The tray is from Hobby Lobby (half off, just like I like it) and the pumpkin fixture is so old I no longer remember where it came from.
Under the table is another glass shelf. I have a wicker basket that I put seasonal books in. Beau loves reading all about pumpkins, spiders and werewolves... oh my!
Happy Fall Y'all!
