Bubble Valetine Labels

Valentines is less than a month away! Where has the time gone? And with this comes Valentines Parties. And cards. And gifts.

I saw a bubble Valentine gift similar to this one on Pinterest, but I wanted to tweek it, so I decided to make my own.

My son, Beau, has 11 students in his class at his day care school. They have Bubble Time every other day and it is his favorite activity. Can you tell this boy loves bubbles?!?

Since I only had to do one dozen, I decided to go with the big bubble wands. I bought them from Oriental Trading for $16.99. You can see them here.

For the labels I had the following materials: one bubble wand, page of Bubble Labels, scrapbook paper (or construction paper), heart template, one pair of regular scissors, one pair of wavy cut scissors, double sided tape, and twine. Not pictured is a hole puncher.

Oh and a little motivation. Whatever works, eh?

If you don't have twine available just use what you have! My partner-in-crime at school had some that she let me use. But ribbon or string will work well too.

First trace your heart template on to your scrapbook or construction paper. I got this at Hobby Lobby. They probably had over 10 different Valentine styles to choose from. If you can't go and get some designed paper like this, construction paper will work as well.

After tracing the heart, cut it out with regular scissors. (Or the silly ones, if the wine has gotten to you by now!)

Next you cut the labels. I used wavy scissors but any kind will do. Cut out one label.

Use double sided tape or any kind of glue and paste on the label in the center of your paper heart.

Now for the hole punch. I only had a three hole punch at my house so don't laugh at me.

Isn't it gorg?!?! And after this I am painting my nails!

Using the twine (or whatever string you have), cut about a foot and a half piece. Loop it through the hole in the heart, about half way through. Then wrap it around the bubble wand a few times until you have just enough twine left to tie it off.

And voila!

Even though Beau and his friends won't care about the cute saying on the labels, I love that his teachers and other moms will know the (easy) effort I put in to them. Being a working mom is hard enough, so doing things like this makes my heart happy. It fills the hole I have. With twine. Ok I'll stop. The wine is getting to me!

Grab the labels for only $5 at my Etsy Store and print as many as you need!
